Hammer-Ons and Pull-Offs Guitar Lesson

Hammer-Ons and Pull-Offs are two basic but essential guitar techniques. In this lesson, Matthias Young will start by teaching you how to play a hammer-on. You will then a lick that uses hammer-ons. Next, you'll repeat the same process for pull-offs. When you play hammer-ons and pull-offs in rapid succession, it's called a trill. This video was made to get more people into playing country guitar by showing the history, important artists, monster guitarists, and licks that are within reach. There are plenty of beginner country guitar lessons on YouTube, but I wanted there to be a video that taught the things that would have made the process of learning country guitar easier when I was first getting into country guitar.

Fast Triplets using Pull-offs - how to play fast triplets using open strings. Same technique works with fretted notes, but it's cool in itself to do this with open strings, I think. This is a nice way to be able to play guitar with speed and cool sounding runs. Enjoy more guitar lessons at MGA - where I teach full time. Lesson by Robert Renman
