This way you’ll be able to see the difference between warm greys and cool greys. CONSIDER TONE: Consider how tone will effect the room. A blue-based grey will feel very cool whereas a grey with a little yellow mixed in will appear warmer and more comfortable to live with. CHOOSE THE RIGHT SHADE: As a rule of thumb, the larger the room, the darker the grey should be. However, a rich grey can be used effectively to create intimacy and atmosphere in a small space. GO MONOCHROME: If pale shades are not your thing, consider an ultra-stylish look with black and white furniture. This will create a truly glamorous and really sleek look. GO SCANDINAVIAN: Pale grey walls combined with painted white furniture will create a beautiful Scandinavian look. CONSIDER COLOUR: Consider using bright, warm colours for your accessories or furniture such as orange or red as accent colours. This looks especially effective with rich shades of grey. ACCESSORISE WITH GREY: Grey doesn’t have to be the wall colour, you can choose to just accessorise with grey. A grey sofa for example is a classic choice and always looks very sophisticated.
