How to sing any song - Voice Lessons - Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy One of the most important factors for how to sing any song is maybe to say this a different way. How can I find myself in this song? There is a roadmap. And this roadmap consists of some very key criteria for finding yourself in a song. 1) Ownership. How well do you know it? This is extremely important from a psychological confidence factor. 2) Is it something that fits and suits your voice? Otherwise, massage it, mold it, and meld it into your own vibe and style. If you don't feel you have enough originality in your voice to do this, there is no harm in learning and capturing the spirit and style of the original and trying to duplicate it. This is how we grow and put in our "tool box" for singing many different styles. You will find that once you learn a few licks and the vibe of various artists, there is a similarity you can draw from, so you are not reinventing the wheel every time you sing. 3) Do you have realistic expectations (and it's ok to reach for the stars, but do it incrementally, with a realistic plan/goal on how to get there AND allow yourself enough time to do so) 4) Have you trained technically to be "in shape" to sing a desired song? It's not practice that makes perfect. It's PERFECT practice that makes perfect. Get good quality information on how to get there. Einstein's definition of insanity is "trying the same experiment over and over and expecting a different result." If you keep trying the same thing, and it is not working, your information (and/or at least your understanding, interpretation, and implementation of that information) is not correct. You should see results even if they are small. I cover all this in my singing course. I hope this helps you guys, God bless, Peace... Out! ►►Download the lesson files https://goo.gl/4Yf7df Today we are going to learn how to use the diminished scale in a non diminished key. The diminished arpeggio is a four note symmetrical arpeggio built on minor thirds and we are going to use it as the foundation for our diminished studies. We will also use the minor natural scale as starting point because of being really close to the harmonic minor scale which contains a diminished arpeggio over its seventh degree. The trick consists on playing minor natural and then adding the outside sounds of the diminished arpeggio. As we know, all church modes are closely related. This means that we can apply the same concept to all the modes by using the root note of the diminished arpeggio as our "exit note". ►►Watch This Video Next https://goo.gl/1f9R9A ►Subscribe https://goo.gl/CmJzN2 ►Short Guitar Lessons https://goo.gl/BVjLOs ►Long Guitar Lessons https://goo.gl/i8Wml0 ►Lesson Packs https://goo.gl/kNEBI8 ►Guitar Licks https://goo.gl/yEYTPJ ►Reviews https://goo.gl/Bb9uTn ►Check Out My Music https://goo.gl/Tocer3 ►Business Inquiries: firstname.lastname@example.org Follow Me! ►Free Music Theory Course: https://goo.gl/Han6lO
In this video we are going to talk about scales.
Sometimes the physical aspect of playing can get in the way but also the theory behind scales can get in the way.
Instead of thinking in terms of scales what you need to do is to match the musical elements. Match the melodic lines with the chords. Find the position of a chord and start phrasing with that.
