Ten minutes out of each day doesn't sound like a lot, but the benefits of taking 10 minutes of quiet relaxation can yeald extraordinary health benefits. From reducing the symptoms of stress and burnout to physical improvements in fighting illnesses. We would be delighted if you would join us to take 10 minutes out of your day so that you can also feel the benefits of daily relaxation. How to take part: You can go to a quiet place or use headphones to block out outside noise. If listening to calming music will help, we invite you to listen to the free Joyous10 podcast (details on where to find the podcast are at the bottom of the page) If possible, go outside where you can get some fresh air. And if you would like to sit with your eyes closed, that is completely your choice. During the 10 minutes, the idea is to clear your mind of thoughts of the outside world, you can either let the music wash over you or find something to concentrate on instead, like how many breaths you take, the ticking of a clock or daydream as you look out the window. After the 10 minutes, or as it comes to a close, make sure to take some deep breaths as you reconnect with your surroundings and feel refreshed. If you are short on time you may want to set a reminder on your phone to stop after 10 minutes. We have set the time for a standard lunchtime so that it may be convenient for those who are at work but you do not need to stick to this time, if being mindful in the morning or evening, or on your daily commute suits you better then please do what feels right for you.
