Things happen in life and there are times when you have to back out of a signed real estate contract. This can be a rather scary situation and you may be wondering just what might happen if you do so.
The potential consequences for backing out of a real estate contract vary. What you are liable for will be spelled out in the contract itself. With few exceptions though, a seller cannot FORCE you to buy their home by taking you to court.
